This enzyme participates in the aerobic (late cobalt insertion) cobalamin biosynthesis pathway. See EC 2.1.1.151, cobalt-factor II C²⁰-methyltransferase, for the equivalent enzyme that participates in the anaerobic cobalamin biosynthesis pathway.
